COOL GORICA

I am happy to see at Apartment Therapy a countrymen of mine as one of the top favourites of  Small Cool 2011 competition (International Entries)!


Actually, it is a studio (and a really tiny one, smallest among the rest) that belongs to a female, Gorica, and which is located in Belgrade. I think she found really a great solution for small space design by dividing it into activity zones. Love the way she arranged the frames! I might 'steal' that idea! ;)  Also, it is impressive that all the wooden furniture she made herself!

The rest of the entries are really nice, here are two that caught my attention for the wonderful artwork arrangement. Both happen to be in Denmark.

Astrology meets fashion in these images from UK edition of VOGUE inspired by zodiac signs. I like the styling of my sign (Saggi), and if you don't see your own check out all the rest here!
I'm loving the colour palette in Virgo and playfulness in Pisces!

Speaking of astrology, did you know that you can actually have your own natal chart turned into wall art? 

StarArc makes quite nice looking modern graphical canvas prints ready to be hanged on the wall! You can't really choose the pattern because it is already determined by your birth, but you can customize it to fit the room decor by choosing among more than 30 colours and 8 sizes. 


I can't say I really like them, maybe a print that could be framed would work for me, but I do like the idea of seeing something so personal in my house as a reminder. I think I would have it turquoise or yellow, hmmmm...

POLAROID ART

Oh my, I would LOVE to have some of these! What a perfect combo for my taste - I love polaroids and I love colours! 


The polaroids of Grant Hamilton are a bit different - they are actually scans of Polaroid 600 integral photos that have been printed on Fuji Crystal Archive Polyester and archivally encapsulated in Plexiglas. They don't need framing as they are thick enough to stand on their own! 


Just look at all this gorgeousness! THIS would really pop up on any wall...

The hardest thing is to CHOOSE some favourites, I really like them all...

Spanish  illustrator Paula Sanz Caballero creates with fabrics,needle and thread! She calls it hand stitched pictures.

Just imagine how much patience is needed to create all those amazing details.

It is obviously worth it because the result is beautiful! I am sure they look even better in real.

Due to the popularity of typography recently, there has been a real explosion of wise thoughts and sayings all over the net. It actually feels like being visually bombarded by wisdom wherever I click. 
Well, if I don't become smarter now I never will.
